Bronze medal for Guinea-Bissau

Guinea-Bissau is the third State Party to submit its annual transparency report for the year 2022, well in advance of the 30 April 2023 due date.  Parabéns!

Guinea-Bissau joins gold-medalist, Australia and silver-medalist Saint Kitts and Nevis, in demonstrating the importance of submitting timely annual transparency reports in line with Actions 43 to 46 of the Lausanne Action Plan which encourage States parties to fulfill their reporting obligations in time, both initially and annually.

Initial and annual reporting is a transparency and confidence building measure among States Parties as well as an important tool for monitoring progress in the implementation of the Convention. The submission of an annual report is above all, a legal obligation.
