Australia Organises an Informal Working Group on Enhancing Transparency Reporting
Reliable and detailed data is the foundation of effective implementation. In disarmament and arms control, transparency isn’t just a formality: it builds mutual trust and drives real progress in the implementation of conventions.
A special thanks to Australia, serving as Transparency Coordinator in the Convention on Cluster Munitions, for organising an excellent workshop focused on improving the rate and quality of reporting. As part of their workplan in this role, Australia brought together all ISUs and Secretariats based in Geneva for a session that was notably practical and solution-oriented: exactly the kind of collaborative effort that moves the needle.
