CCM President congratulates Cuba on CCM accession

The CCM President, Netherlands has issued the following statement congratulating Cuba on its accession to the Convention:

“On Wednesday April 6th, Cuba deposited the instrument that proves its accession to the Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM) meaning it will become the 99th State Party of the Convention. As the President of the CCM, the Netherlands welcomes this decision and congratulates Cuba on the deposition.

Seeing the importance of further universalization of the CCM, the Netherlands calls upon all States that are not yet Party to the Convention to either accede to or ratify the CCM and to join in the common effort towards a world free from cluster munitions”
