A broad range of tools have been developed to assist States Parties in fulfilling their obligations, including model implementing legislation.
- The ICRC model legislation for Common Law States is a tool for States in the process of developing their national legislation in accordance with Article 9 of the Convention.
- At the 2nd Meeting of States Parties, New Zealand, as Coordinator of the Working Group of National Implementation Measures (2012-2013), presented a model legislation for small States not possessing cluster munitions and not contaminated by them. To date, 29 States Parties indicated in their Article 7 transparency reports that they have adopted specific national legislation to implement the Convention on Cluster Munitions. New Zealand, in its capacity as Coordinator on National Implementation Measures, prepared a collection of these national laws which can be accessed here.
