Intersessional Meeting 2011

Intersessional meetings to the CCM were held in Geneva, 27 – 30 June, 2011 (see invitation here). These were informal meetings, held to gain clarity on progress in implementing the Convention in time for the 2nd Meeting of States Parties. The intersessional meetings were open to the States Parties, States not parties and interested international and non-governmental organizations.

In advance of the Intersessional Meeting, thematic Friends of the President of the 1MSP, Lao PDR, have sent letters to all states to encourage contributions to the Beirut Progress Report (see examples on International Cooperation and Assistance and on National Implementation Measures)

The Intersessional Meeting provided an opportunity for States and interested organisations to provide comments and inputs on documents that will be reviewed at the 2nd Meeting of States Parties in Beirut in September, these include :
