The Safe Path – South East Asia Regional Meeting on Cluster Munitions

Xiengkhuang, Lao PDR, 20 – 22 October 2008

The meeting brings together representatives from States, NGOs, UN-organisations and the International Committee of the Red Cross working in the region. The objective of the meeting is to consult on the new Convention and its implications for countries and communities affected by use of cluster munitions. Moreover, the meeting will focus on opportunities and challenges for the rapid implementation of the provisions of the convention.
